Never have I felt more regret and disgust about paying someone for a service. The owner of Transatlas Movers, Levent, is a scam artist.

It's extremely hard to communicate when you get hung up on. Levent would hang up the phone on us when we told him that's not what we agreed on. Then we called back and couldn't connect. They also didn't respond to one single email.

-Called and established the date we were going to get access to new apartment, agreement was made and they took our stuff.

-2 weeks later we get a call from Levent saying the delivery day will be 3 days earlier (too early for us as we didn't have access to the apt yet). He said it would cost an extra $200 to hold it for those 3 days. I said I didn't want to pay extra because we established the date on the CONTRACT. Levent said if I don't want to pay then it will have to wait for the next truck to California in 3 weeks. I agreed to this because I didn't want to pay some BS fabricated charge.

-We didn't know where our things were for weeks, after sending numerous emails and trying to call them frequently.

-Well finally after getting ahold of him 2 weeks later he says we have to pay $200 for storage. What?? The whole point of us not having all our things for 3 weeks was to not pay the $200 and now he's saying we have to pay anyway. Well I guess he decided he was getting that $200 no matter what. I said I never agreed to paying extra ever, and he said he would not deliver our things unless we paid the $200. Criminal. We were left no choice.

-Upon delivery, things were not handled with care: box with a computer monitor in it with a picture of the monitor on the box and "fragile" written in big block letters was delivered on the floor with 2 big boxes on top of it.
-Furniture was broken. Boxes were punctured and ripped.

Bowls and plates marked "fragile" were packed with lots of bubble wrap, but somehow many dishes were broken and the bubbles were popped. They must have dropped these boxes on the ground from the truck. I can't imagine how so much broke.

-The movers forced open the elevator door and damaged it. Our landlord told us it was damaged and we showed it to the driver. He threw up his hand and said "not my problem"

-Verbal abuse- Levent raised his voice, called us liars, he said many disrespectful and demeaning things to my wife. Neither I nor my wife have ever been talked to like that before by anyone. It's pretty disgusting actually.


This is how you can expect to be treated by the people that are handling your most valuable possessions. They damaged our things and our home. They made up charges and lied about informing us about these charges in advanced.

This whole experience was a nightmare. I guess you can make a living being a cheater when you don't have repeat customers. Prospective customers BEWARE of this operation!!

I moved from Ottawa to Oliver BC in September last year and upon opening my moving boxes, I found that the majority of my belongings were not even wrapped in paper. If items were wrapped, they used articles of my clothing to do so!!
Many of my possessions were badly damaged or broken.
The movers even STOLE items from me including my deceased brother's autographed baseball collection, my laptop, my deceased mother's Christmas decorations, and on and on..
I have tried to resolve this issue with 2 different representatives from Transatlas and have sent them many many photos of the damaged items.I alerted them immediately, but as of now, 8 months later, they have still not contacted me about any of this.
I am out Thousands of dollars!!

If I could give this company no stars, I would. My stuff was already disassembled and probably would've taken less than 30 minutes to move. I was told they would arrive between 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Come 8:00 PM I asked again for an update, and was told it would be another hour, which I could not be home for. The person I was dealing with, named Levent, then said that the movers are tired and questioned why I couldn't wait just an hour. I answered it's been 8 hours, to which he said "look for someone else, bye." They operate terribly in all aspects, and I would urge everyone to find better options..it won't be too hard.

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $800

Highlights: horrible, rude and dishonest people. Will charge you waaay above their estimate, lie to you about the minimum weight, damage your stuff and won’t pay for it. Deliver anytime they want and will make sure there is nothing you can do.

This is one the worst moving companies you would ever see. I can go on for hours about how terrible they are. Bear with me:

1- I asked and insisted on my stuff being delivered on August 31. Didn’t care when they pick my stuff up. Told them just deliver on the day I want. They said sure. Picked up my stuff on the 25th (7 am) and delivered on September 5th. 6 days delays. Had to take 2 days off work, since they said we are delivering tomorrow and didn’t.

2- In the quote they gave they said price estimate for 5000 lb, minimum of 2000 lb load will be charged regardless. A professional estimated my weight 3000 lb. At the end they charged me for minimum of 5000 lb and didn’t provide my actual weight. They said we didn’t weigh your shipment!!

3- they damaged so many items. It was so bad that their people told me to email them and they will take care of it. So I did. No response. Won’t even take my calls or respond to my text messages.

The initial price estimate, with 2000 lb above my weight was $5000. I ended up paying $7000.

Where to start. I guess I should start from the pick up date. I had tochange my pick up date because something came up so I had to get an early flight so I called Transatlas head office and they were able to accomodate my date have change even if they didn't have a base in Miami, FL. Then my furniture arrived before my place was ready in Toronto but they offered me 4 weeks of free storage as long as I cleared the goods through customs which was really easy. So I am really satisfied and looking forward to moving again with them next time. Thanks alot to all the Transatlas crew.

I was quoted a rate for my move fron Toronto to las Vegas when the shipment arrived a I was asked to pay exactly what I was quoter. The guys at pickup and on delivery were very nice to work with. I was very impressed by the delivery time it only took them 9 days from time of pickup to delivery. I have moved many times in the past . I would have to say this has been the eaiest move I have done . Once again thank you for all your help and rest assured I will pass the word around about your company.

Hi there. I was so amazed with the way my long distance move was handled, especially the protection of my furniture, as well as packing and handling my stuff. In the addition to that, the pick up of my furniture was done the date I chose, plus delivery was done on time, without any damage, broken or stolen items. I'm glad to find such a professional and honest mover. I will certainly use their services any time I have to. I strongly recommend them to all my family and friends. Keep up the good service. This was our third move using TransAtlas Moving Services and we were once again not disappointed.  They exceeded our expectations.  They assisted us in packing oversized items and they had wooden crates built for protecting large pieces of glass used as table tops.  We had over 29,000 lb. of furniture, books, art, etc., as well as a grand piano moved from Canada to the USA. We were once again extremely pleased with their skills in packing everything we owned into a large moving van and transporting it from Montreal to Chicago and finding that nothing was damaged!!  This is the third move we have made in the last ten years and each time we were absolutely amazed at TransAtlas Moving Services.  Regardless of the obstacles we encountered during our moves, TransAtlas always remained calm and they were always able to overcome these obstacles.  We highly recommend TransAtlas Moving Services.    .

We actually booked through another company called first class van lines based in Toronto. We were moving from Sault Ste Marie Ontario to Prince Edward Island,  it was a disastrous move from start to finish.  We were quoted a good price for our move, we could pay a deposit and then the rest on delivery and 6wks free storage so we took it, when they came to pick up our furniture they couldn't give us an exact price until it was weighed.  Once the furniture was down in Toronto the quote went up by $1600 and they wouldn't release our furniture to us until we paid for it up front, and they also wanted us to pay for storage on top of the total price.  We didn't want to pay up front because we thought we may never get our furniture from them so they told us to take a photo copy of a money order and email it to them and I also asked them to send the furniture to us the following Thursday and we would have it delivered to a storage locker here in PEI until our house was ready for us to move into. This was on Friday on Sunday we got a call from Transatlas Movers they were on their way with our furniture and would be there on Monday at 1pm, at our storage locker, at 1pm we were there waiting for them, and they didn't turn up so I phoned them and got through their dispatch they were still not in PEI and had 2 deliveries to do before they were delivering ours we asked them to call us when they were on their way.  We waited for a call that didn't come, so at  6pm I called them back, no answer and I tried several more times still no answer, I eventually borrowed another cell phone off a friend and called them back at 8pm, this time they answered apparently they don't work after 4pm and that is why they didn't answer the phone to me.. They apparently had tried to call us at least 10 times, but couldn't get through to us, even though we had no missed calls or messages, so they had left our furniture in another storage locker in PEI and wouldn't tell us where it was until we sent first class vanlines the full money for our furniture and the money for the storage locker.  We got in touch with the owner of our storage locker where the furniture was supposed to be dropped off he told us that transatlas had  turned up at 6pm  not stayed very long,  but told him that they would come back to the locker in the morning at 8am and deliver the furniture, so we turned up at 8am and they didn't turn up, when I got back in touch with the dispatcher he was adament that we wouldn't get our furniture back until we had paid for it first,.we ended up sending first class van lines the money, when we eventually got our furniture from the locker there was alot of damaged items no care and attention had been given to the furniture which had been forcefully cramped packed into the storage locker, we were all very upset it had not been a pleasent experience. We also inherited another box which doesn't belong to us full of someones keepsake items from years gone by, probably a very cherished box, I tried to email transatlas to ask them about it but they have yet to get back to me, it maybe unimportant to them but someone is missing it.

Poor. Without a doubt it was the worst service I have ever experienced. We called the company a couple of times, as our shipment had not arrived. When they said it would and for that the drivers took the extra we owed and than proceed to tell the only one that was at home that he had to unload the truck all by himself. They also refused to back the truck near the house, forcing him to have to carry all the boxes up the driveway of the acreage to the house. Don't ever use this company.

I used Transatlas Moving Company and very satisfied with their service.  They moved my stuff from Boston to Montreal I had no problems with them from beginning to the end of my relocation. I liked the way they packed my stuff ( cautious enough), punctual and polite.They set up the furniture for us. They provided me everything I needed at good price and quality. I like the way they protected my house from damages and I really enjoyed working with them.I will recommend it without any hesitation. .

We moved from Montreal to Boston.It was a quıck decısıon and found them through ınternet revıews Transatlas dıspatch sent 6 guys on pıck up to quıckly load my goods under ıce raın. My husband and I felt so relaxed seeıng our belongıngs properly wrapped and handled on our ıcy drıve way.They were very equıpped for bad weather.They shovel the snow and salt the staırs whıch we forgot whıle preparıng our boxes. We had a slıght road accıdent day before the delıvery and could not make ıt on tıme to recıve the goods.Our landlord opened the door and TransAtlas movers moved everythıng ınsıde. There was no mıssıng ıtems and no damage. We paıd lıttle more than estımate but there was no tıme to get an onsıte estımate. Most ımportant ıs to have everythıng moved ın wıthout our presence.We admıt that they have very reliable employees. It ıs the rıght company for professıonal movıng company.  .

Please stay away from these people. They commit something and charge something else. They were not ready to deliver our stuff unless we paid the exaggereted price they were quoting.  We paid thousand more than quoted rate per pound. The guy who helms the day to day affair is rude and does not listen to his customers. Mr. Bonder who is the consignee at Toronto is also not helpful. He speaks good, but his deeds and work is different. Somewhere when he quoted us first he never mentioned about the packing amount. when we saw the final bill it was 1000 dollars more than that. These guys are rip off their customers stay away from them.  They said that they will fix the bed in the price quoted, but we end up paying for that as well. Please stay away from these guys.

Transatlas was THREE WEEKS LATE with my belongings, there was damage to my desk, and a box missing. There was little to no communication and no apology. I moved from Quebec, Canada to Atlanta, GA in January of 2015. The movers arrived two days early but one contacted me. I might have been able to arrange for storage or for the apartment complex to open the apartment early if someone had notified me. They took the shipment back to Canada!    I did not hear anything from Transatlas on the scheduled delivery date. I had to call long distance to find out what was going on. The shipment was continually delayed for the next three weeks. Each time I had to call long distance to find out where my shipment was and when they would arrive to deliver it. They gave me dates three times, but didn’t show up. Finally, they told me when they would arrive. I waited all day on that date, but at 2:45pm they called and said they would be here the following morning. They finally arrived the next morning, three weeks late.   During the 3 week delay I insisted upon a discount. They gave me a 10% discount, but only if I paid the full amount IN CASH (in Canadian dollars) when the truck arrived. Otherwise, they said they would not unload my belongings. I had initially agreed to pay approximately half in cash and half via credit card.    The delay caused me significant inconvenience and physical and mental distress. Had to go to thrift stores to get kitchen utensils, cookware, and clothing.    Mr. Levent of Transatlas was extremely rude and uncaring on the phone. There was no apology or understanding that this delay caused significant problems in my life. .

I never thought it would be possible to move my goods from Montreal, QC to Fort Lauderdale, FL without headaches or chaos, but Transatlas made it as smooth as I can ever imagined. From the moment the movers came to my door I knew everything would be ok because they were so pleasant and professional. My goods arrived in Florida within the perfect time promised and I experienced NO damage and NO headaches!! I cannot thank the staff at Transatlast enough. I am really satisfied, I don't normally give review, but the way my move was handled amazed me and I am forever grateful. Thanks again Transatlas !!God bless.

    Just moved from Phoenix to Laval. I had to go through 2 agents to move with Transatlas. My frustration ended once I started to deal with the actual movers. They managed picking up just in time before my lease ended. Pick up crew was very friendly and quick to pack and load despite a long walk from my town house complex with no access for his trailer. they still maintained the smile and patience. Delivery was delayed couple days due to winter conditions and customs clearance. I was upset hearing about winter conditions and customs. However every step of this move made me understand what movers go through under the circumstances. Delivery day, it was -27 degrees celcius and snow storm. the movers did not even stop to finish the delivery on icy stairs. I felt bad pushing them for delivery in the coldest day but they did not complain again.  They did a good job. Thank you Transatlas.

We used them through a Van Line that could not service on time in Miami. We asked for full service, packing and moving since our grand parents are very old. They were very happy with the treatment from the movers who made their relocation very smith.They received royal care without us assisting them. Transatlas Moving Service has fulfilled their commitments. We believe that they were not rated properly. They deserve all the good comments. They have all the qualification for proper moving service.

We sold our house in Boynton Beach, FL and decided to bring all our furniture back to Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

This was a big move. We had 3 bedrooms, family room with a monster wall unit, living room and dining room.

I had no idea where to start looking for a trucking company.

I found a few in Florida through the internet. Some had good rating and some had bad. I got a quote from 4 carriers as well as Transatlas in Montreal (Not the one in Mississauga, Ontario). I have to say, Transatlas's rating was poor. First thought, pick another carrier

I asked all carriers for the next pick up date. Two carriers gave me the same pick up date as Transatlas which I thought was weird so I did further research. It seems Transatlas was handling the shipment for thse carriers.

I thought that if these other carriers were not concerned about Transatlas service maybe I shouldn't be either.

I went to see Levent and his partner Bulent. I was there for more than an hour. They did not rush me out the door and I started to fell comfortable with them.

The decision was made. I would use them to ship all my goods to Montreal.

On January 10th 2016 4 men arrived and packed the fragile stuff. They seemed to do an excellent job. They also disassembled all the beds, put all artwork in boxes, boxed our lamps and I have to say we were impressed. It took a whole day to load the truck from 9:00 to 6:30 PM.

Up until the delivery date, I had some concerns. Were the customers with the negative posts correct or the positive ones? I would only know when everything was delivered.

January 19th, 2016 all our "stuff" was delivered. (They would have delivered earlier but it took awhile to clear all loads in the truck through Customs). Considering winter road conditions and other factors the time period was acceptable. Again 4 men showed up. The original driver plus three other men. This time they not only delivered but reassembled everything. They were very friendly and helpful. We asked them to place our dining room set a certain way. Once done we realized that it did not look right. They suggested a different configuration. which worked extremely well. I suppose they had lots of practice.

We opened all 50 boxes, unpacked a art work, the computer and every thing else. Nothing was missing and nothing was damaged. Needless to say we were very happy.

I had made the right decision. They were the best option.

I am not one to post company reviews on the internet. Maybe just too lazy but I felt I had to. Few customers will write positive reviews and this was certainly a company that deserved one from us.

We could not have asked for better service and would certainly use them again.
